These days there are hundreds of different gladiator sandals on the high street in a myriad of styles and designs that will suit every body shape – providing you know how to wear them.
Whether you’re tall or short, skinny or curvy, you can make gladiator sandals work for you if you understand the best way to compliment your body type.

Too Tall
Whilst you don’t often hear people complaining about being too tall, there are lots of girls out there who want to make sure that they compliment their long legs whilst still looking elegant. Flat gladiators are the perfect shoe to achieve this and you can add a touch of glamour to any outfit with gladiator sandals in a metallic finish. Long legs look great in calf or knee high gladiators too so why not make a statement and supersize your sandals?

Too Short
Many girls with shorter legs make the mistake of choosing gladiators that stop directly at their ankle. When you cover your ankle, you’re covering the slimmest part of your leg which can end up making your legs look thicker and shorter. To avoid this problem look for a sandal that stops just below the ankle instead. You could also choose a gladiator with a wedge heel to make your legs look longer and more toned.

Skinny Legs
If you’ve got skinny legs and you’d like to give them a bit more shape, then knee high gladiator sandals could be the answer. Straps around your calves will make your legs appear thicker, but avoid wedges as these will slim your legs further. However, it’s important that you make sure you keep the rest of your outfit simple to avoid looking like you’re attending a fancy dress party.

Thicker Legs
If you’ve got thick legs, then avoid gladiator sandals that go higher than just below your ankle. Calf or knee length gladiators will only draw attention to the bits of your legs you don’t like, lowering your confidence level.
To lengthen and slim your leg as much as possible, look for a gladiator sandal with a wedge and a t-bar strap that goes right down the middle of your foot. Team these with long, loose fitting trousers or shorts to create the illusion of longer legs and give you a stylish and chic appearance.
