Let me tell you about my hairstory. I have natural hair, since about 2006, I stopped getting relaxers and I rarely get extentions (but that’s for a whole ‘nother reason). I flat iron my hair often to keep my style intact and my hair looking smooth. As you can imagine that causes damage, even with the best heat protector. My hair will get frizzy and lifeless, it also doesn’t help that the weather has been bad and I had an unflattering haircut. So I decided to try out Carol’s Daughter’s Chocolat Smoothing collection that is for unruly frizzy hair.

When I took it out the sample bottle ( I wasn’t about to buy a full size of a product I wasn’t sure was going to work) I was greeted with a sugar cookie like smell that I loved! I began with the shampoo that was very light. Then followed with a very thick conditioner, and I mean thick! I smoothed it all over let it sit for a moment then rinsed. When I got out the shower my hair looked moisturized, like there was a shine and everything, the frizz was zapped and my curls never looked curlier! Not to mention my hair smelled like sugar. I applied the blow dry cream on my hair and let it air dry. It looked and felt the same way after about 20 minutes, which it usually looks like a dry crispy afro.
And don’t even get me started on when I blow dried and flat ironed it. It was smooth, it was silky and it smelt like I was baking cookies. I have to say I love it! Everything about it! And I know you’re thinking that it cost out the whoo-ha for something this good. Nope the whole set (including the blow dry cream) is only about $54, but they’re having a summer sale and it’s only 43.20 right now! Get it here And take it from a girl who wouldn’t pay more than $15 for a anything dealing with my hair, it’s worth it! and it’s been looking amazing in rain or shine I still have not seen frizz.
*Note the photos are with my hair re-cut, so no one will ever see that hideous boxy cut I got 😦
