Pharrell in general is just a weird man, he doesn’t age, and still dresses like he’s in his 20’s when his in his 40’s (I know right??) That’s all fine and dandy, like I said he doesn’t age. I never thought much about Pharrell, I always knew he was out there but I never knew how out there he was until I saw his ‘GIRL’ Exhibit. It’s just, I don’t know weird. When I see it, I don’t sense a theme or any type of message. All I see are random photos and statues (along with a couch) that don’t quite fit.
He released the exhibit to for his upcoming album called, you guessed it, Girl. The exhibit is featured at the Galerie Perrotin’s newest place in Paris. The collection of course is a contemporary piece, thus the reason it doesn’t make any real sense, has about 48 pieces in all. Among the collection are works by Ulay, Daniel Arsham, JR, Alex Katz, KAWS,Yoko Ono,Terry Richardson, Andy Warhol and a few others. I do like some pieces I think that they are very interesting, but some just don’t go together. Take a look at the collection and tell me what you think in the comments.
